In a recent interview, Neetu described Alia as a "great mother" and a "disciplinarian." She noted that while she and Alia sometimes see things differently regarding Raha's upbringing, she respects Alia's approach. "She is a disciplinarian, and Ranbir is more of a friend to her," Neetu said, highlighting the different roles her son and his wife play in their daughter's life. Neetu acknowledged that these differences in opinion are natural and do not take away from Alia's dedication.
The veteran actress also reflected on how she herself has changed as a grandmother compared to when she was a mother to Ranbir and his sister Riddhima. She admitted to being more lenient and spoiling Raha, which sometimes leads to those friendly disagreements with Alia. Despite the occasional clash in parenting styles, Neetu made it clear that she holds immense respect for how Alia balances her demanding career with being a present and loving mother to little Raha.
